Mountain house

The mountain house is in such a place

Garberville, California

From San Francisco, drive north on Route 101 to Humboldt County, Garberville Town in 3 hours.

Our house is located in a mountain 15km from Garberville on an old forest road.

The beautiful mountains seen from the Redwood Sugi House, which stands at the highest point of the vast site, are spectacular and soothing.

You can wake up with the chirping of birds and enjoy the quiet mountain air while watching the stars and the Milky Way in the morning and evening.

Symbiosis

There are many pairs of deer parents and turkeys living around the house.

On hot summer days, I rest in the shade around my house, and on rainy days, I take shelter under the eaves.

We keep a distance from wild animals and watch their growth throughout the year.

Megumi of the earth

Spring is the season for bracken and mountain udo, and summer to autumn is the season for wild blackberries.

I save it as jam or berry sauce and enjoy it all year round.

At our orchad, we harvest cherries, apples, and quince every season, and from summer to autumn, we can harvest vegetables every day in the garden.
